The Radio Network Planning & Optimization Team ensures Smart operates efficiently, maximizing return on investment with minimal expenditure. The team plans networks with the fewest base stations necessary to meet the service requirements of our subscribers in Cambodia.
As a Radio Network & Optimization Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Planning the radio network, including nominating new sites, acquisition control, and roll-out processes.
- Planning radio parameters for GSM and LTE networks.
- Ensuring network quality through field monitoring, drive-tests, and performance statistics control.
- Preparing periodic network performance reports.
- Understand and possess knowledge of GSM and LTE network architecture.
- Conduct drive tests and handle customer complaints.
- Perform physical optimization (with the help of a rigger) for network optimization using drive tests.
- Support system performance and improve areas of poor coverage by identifying system performance problems (e.g., dropped calls, interference, blocked calls, etc.).
