Empowering Cambodian youth through the Basic Education Equivalency Programme (BEEP)
Championing societal advancement, BEEP is a beacon for Cambodia’s youth amidst rapid economic growth. Endeavoring to bridge skills gaps and empower disadvantaged groups, BEEP, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and UNESCO, facilitates access to education and skills development for out-of-school youths.
Through innovative mobile learning approaches, including online courses, BEEP equips learners with a Grade 9-equivalent education, opening doors to technical training and employment opportunities. Marking a shift towards inclusive education, over 1,500 beneficiaries have benefitted from BEEP’s tailored support, fostering personal and professional growth. BEEP is strengthened by public-private partnerships and embodies Cambodia’s commitment to education accessibility and digital literacy. It propels youths towards a brighter future. With a network spanning 26 centers in 15 provinces, BEEP promotes education as a catalyst for progress.
